Week 9 - June 26 - July 1, 2018

Elder Koberstein serving as the supervisor on the International Floor (B1) of the Family History Library.  He is wearing a big white button and blue lanyard around his neck which indicates that he is serving as the floor supervisor for that hour.  The floor supervisor keeps track of who is working behind him and helps keep everything ship shape.
Sister Koberstein serving as Guide 1 at the guide desk on the International Floor of the Family History Library.  Guide 1 works closely with Guide 2.  They greet the guests that look like they need help.  One of us will then ask the right missionary to help the guest with their needs and introduce them to that missionary.
This week we welcome Elder and Sister Johnson home from the Texas San Antonio Mission where they had served 23 months in the institute at Austin, Texas.
They had invited Elder Koberstein and I to live in their home in Bountiful for the duration of our mission.  We started as occupants in the master bedroom as their home was shared with Elder Johnson's sister and her husband who also served in the Utah Salt Lake City Headquarters Mission.  It was a fun opportunity to get to know Elder and Sister Boone who also completed their mission this week.
We are now settled in the nice cool basement for the duration of our mission.
This weekend we had the opportunity to attend, with Louis and Camille, the wedding of Elder Koberstein's niece Amber.
Congratulations Daniel and Amber.
The beautiful wedding cake was made by one of Daniel's cousins.  It was a delicious chocolate cake.  We enjoyed a dinner and mini reception following the wedding at Olive Garden.  It was a beautiful day and way to started a forever marriage.
THOUGHT FOR YOU
"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to wast a lot of time running around shouting that he's been robbed.  The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to just be people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise.  Life is like an old time rail journey...delays...sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burst of speed.  The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."  Gordon B. Hinckley
