Week 51 - April 15-21

This is the homepage of the International floor (B1) of the Family History Library missionary site.  Elder Koberstein and I had the opportunity of helping with the setup of this Sharepoint website for our zone.

Our new zone leaders Elder and Sister Viera are now pictured on the site as we are approaching our final week as missionaries in the Utah Salt Lake City Headquarters Mission.  It has been a wonderful experience.  We have learned so much, enjoyed Utah and met and worked with some of the best people on earth.  Thank you to all, who we have had the opportunity to know, work with and share in this wonderful experience of helping those on earth find their families.  This is the work of our Heavenly Father and will continue until it is complete.  We are so blessed to live in this day of technology and have the opportunity to learn to use it to find our family.
Monday evening we enjoyed mission conference.  We had a delicious turkey dinner at the Conference Center after the library closed and then a presentation by President and Sister Fenn about Easter in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square.
Wednesday we were surprised by a quick dinner visit with our son and part of his family.  We met them at Red Robin in Layton.  Fun to visit a few minutes.
As we left Red Robin we saw this beautiful view of the moon in the evening sky.
Friday, about noon, Elder Koberstein and I drove around City Creek.  As we drove by the Utah State Capital building the trees were in full blossom and it was beautiful.
Friday, after our last Capstone Class and day at the Family History Library, we had the opportunity to attend the Easter Tabernacle Choir Concert with my sister's family in the tabernacle.  The sunlight on the Salt Lake temple was beautiful as we stood in line waiting to go inside.
This is a part of one line to get into the concert.  I wondered if there would be enough seats for all inside.  I learned the tabernacle is bigger than I thought.  We were seated in the middle center behind the recording crew and special guests.
"He Is Risen-A Sacred Easter Presentation" was a very enjoyable evening with  The Orchestra at Temple Square, Bells On Temple Square and Gabriel Trumpet Ensemble" accompanied the choir during the performance.  The picture above shows the orchestra and Tabernacle choir.
Saturday Elder Koberstein and I enjoyed a day in Logan with our son's family.  We watched two soccer games in the morning and then went to the Logan temple and enjoyed doing work there.
The early evening was spent attending the "Spring 2019 Piano Recital" at the Red Balloon Toy Store.  Our granddaughter played "Jazz Band Jam" and "I Like Soccer".  Our grandson played "Nothin' to do Blues" and "Rockin' Good Time".  It was a fun day to be a grandparent.  We are so blessed!

A THOUGHT FOR YOU

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.  In the world ye shall have tribulation:  but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.   John 16:33
